Diana Tonnison

Diana's career started as a fashion and knitwear designer leaving St Martin's in the mid 1970's and her subsequent career in this industry, comes her influence and flair for colour, pattern, texture and form. Her love for making ceramics started as a hobby nearly 20 years ago. By experimenting with paperclay and mixed clays she replicates layers of fragmented history she sees in doorways, windows, walls, markets and the flotsam and jetsam on the seashores. Her travels to India, Mozambique, Mediterranean and Egypt have inspired her recent work.

Diana has a wonderful purpose built studio at her home, with a small exhibtion area to view her latest work in progress and fresh out of the kiln. Diana's range of ceramics include ceramic paintings, ceramics for the garden as well as a colourful range of tableware and centre table display pieces. Commissions taken.

Stockists of Diana's work can be seen in Bedford Street Gallery, Woburn; Ginny Grey Gallery, Buckingham and The House Gallery, Olney.
