Malcolm Williamson

I trained as a bench joiner from 16, leaving Wellingborough & Northampton Tech. colleges with credits & distinctions; also a rarely issued London C&G Institute advanced craft silver medal.
Since the late 80s I have been making bespoke furniture & specialist joinery at my workshop in central Northampton.
As part of my personal development of fine woodworking skills I have studied the history & techniques of classical guitar construction for over 20 years. I am applying the same approach to making a small number of fine quality violins, bowmaking & hairing under the discipline of one of the finest English makers of orchestral instruments.
