Heidi creates felted hangings, bags and other items using dyed merino wool. Inspiration is often taken from patterns within landscapes. Heidi's felt pieces are created by rubbing and rolling wool together with warm soapy water to enable the wool fibres to bond together to form a firm material.

Felt Making Workshops in Schools

Heidi is a specialist felt maker and has over 20 years experience of running felt making workshops in primary, secondary and special schools within the UK. Heidi has worked with many local authorities, community organisations and with young people / adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Felt making workshops are a fun and educational art activity in which creative and imaginative pieces of hand-made felt or large wall banners can be made. Heidi will supply all the equipment and materials needed for a workshop and holds a current Public Liability and DBS Certificate.
