I have a longstanding interest in craft and a love of natural materials. My interest in Basketry began in the 1980s, intensifying in 1997 when I began the City & Guilds Certificate in Creative Basketry at the City Lit in London. I completed part 2 of this qualification in 2004.
Inspiration for my work comes from the natural world and the materials around me. I work with a wide range of materials and techniques creating both traditional and contemporary work as well as work to commission.
I grow my own willow and my traditional work includes a wide range of functional baskets as well as garden structures including plant supports, sculptures, furniture and living willow structures.
My current contemporary work (not shown here) is much more experimental, focusing on exploring materials extensively to use them in new ways.
